MESSAGE NOTES: Healing School Sunday

ANOINTED WITH POWER

Introduction:

  • We have committed this year to monthly ‘lean into’ healing and the supernatural power of God
  • Last month we talked about “Why Healing” and why this was important that we contend for a greater manifestation in this area.

Acts 10:38 (ESV) – how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

  • We see that Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil – as Christians we are called to do the same
  • Jesus did this because he was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power

THE LAW OF G.I.G.O.

Introduction

Deut 30:19 (ESV) – 19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,

2 Timothy 2:19-22 (NLT) – 19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.” 20 In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. 21 If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. 22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

  • We have been talking about the power of our choices
  • We talked about how we have a choice as to whether we will be an honourable vessel or a dishonourable one
  • We talked about the key of ’turning away from evil’

2 Timothy 2:22 (NLT) – Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

  • There are some things we need to run from
  • There are some things we need to run after
  • Our ‘companionship’ matters

The Biblical Principle of “Seed Time and Harvest”

CHOOSE LIFE

Introduction

  • This year our themes have included “Holy Ambition”, “Purpose, Destiny, and Calling” and “Pursuing the purposes of God in our Generation”
  • We are also leaning in for healing, signs and wonders… you and I are called to be “naturally supernatural”
  • As we continue on this journey I have felt led by the Lord to talk to us about the importance and power of our choices

God has given you the power to choose!

  • Holy Ambition is a choice
  • Walking in purpose, destiny and calling is a choice
  • Pursuing the Purposes of God in our generation is a choice

Deut 30:19 (ESV) – 19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,

03: THE CALL TO CONSECRATION

Special Focus:

  • In two weeks we are having our First Fruits Offering. The heart of this is that we give a special offering, on top of our regular giving, to sow a seed into what God is going to do in 2019.
  • I want to encourage every member of TCC to participate and seek the Lord regarding what they are to give.

Throughout the Fall our focus was “Heart Check”

  • “God wants to work in us so he can work with us and through us
  • We need to continue to allow the Lord to work in our hearts but He is working in us with a purpose
  • As we come into 2019 my heart is stirred that we will individually and corporately go after the callings and purposes of God in our lives. IT’S TIME!

Romans 12:1 (TPT)  – 1 Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.

The key: I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifice!
